View Full Version : Seafood in Baton Rouge
One of my favorite places to eat Seafood in Baton Rouge is
Crawfords 2 on Staring Lane just a couple minutes off the interstate. They have the best fried catfish I have ever eaten. On Friday and Saturday nights they have a seafood buffet that is good.
Wonder if that's the same folks who had the Crawford's Restaurant in Denham Springs, LA a few years ago? They had some seriously good catfish. It was on Range Ave. by the interstate.
Yes it is. This one is owned and run by Kenny Crawford, son of Mr. Crawford who ran the one that closed in Denham Springs.

Yes, Crawford's in Denham Springs did have great catfish. Glad to know about the one in Baton Rouge. Another great place to eat fried catfish is Berthelot's On The River in Port Vincent, La., next to Fred's. It's about the best I've tried. Excellent onion rings too.

Monday night at Berthelot's is an \"all you can eat catfish night\". Yummy.

Although not exactly in Baton Rouge--Roberto's River Road in Sunshine is worth the short drive for some great seafood. The Catfish Billy is grilled or fried catfish with a mound of crawfish etoufee. The fried seafood platter is extraordinary and we've tried all the others in Baton Rouge but Roberto's is still our favorite. The chimes believe it or not is a close second b/c their fry batter and seasoning is consistent with just the right amt. of spice.;)
