I was just playing around the other day, staring into the refrigerator and wondering what I could wrap in bacon. Remember now, I was still on generator power and really needed to weed a few things from the fridge.
I dug out some havarti cheese and blue cheese, a jar of pickled okra, a few serrano peppers from the garden and of course..... bacon.

The results were not as pretty as Bama's awesome looking ABT's but they sure tasted good. The saltiness of the bacon and pickled okra went well with the cheese and pepper. I will definitely do this again. Maybe I can call them atomic lizard tails or something.

I also did a few wrapped peppers with cheese and no okra. I served up up on the side of a ribeye.

Next time I'll try adding some rub as BamaQue did.
Sometimes it's just fun to play.:D

They look awesome!! Have you ever grilled fresh okra? It's really good with olive oil salt and pepper on it.

No, I have not tried grilling the fresh okra. I bet it is good. Might be good loaded with cream cheese or an herbed cream cheese also.
But I love almost any vegetable grilled. I think asparagus may be my favorite, brushed with a good balsamic vinegar.
