The Holiday Season in Denham Springs was kicked off in style on Nov 29th by The Annual Main Street Denham Springs Holiday Chef’s Evening and Wine tasting event. Part of a national and state program to raise funds for the preservation of historic districts, this event allows attendees to stroll and shop through the downtown area while sampling a variety of fine foods prepared by local chefs. Assorted wines were made available for tasting by Glazer Companies of Louisiana.
Advance tickets for this year’s event, as it has for each of its seven years, sold out immediately. So if you are interested in attending next year’s event scheduled for December 4, get your tickets early.

Good food is an absolute necessity for a restaurant to be successful. From there, you can fancy the joint up all you want, it's just lagniappe to me. Brother’s Bar-B-Q can’t even be called a restaurant. That would be too much of a stretch. There are no tables or dining room. It’s a food stand. But it’s a very cool food stand and it’s got the good food thing down pat.
